Two people charged following CDSA warrant execution in Kanata Lakes

(Ottawa) — In January 2024, members of the Ottawa Police Service Drug Unit commenced a criminal investigation regarding individuals suspected of trafficking illicit drugs in the City of Ottawa.
On Thursday, May 10th, with the assistance of the West Neighbourhood Resource Team, Tactical Team, Canine Unit and Street Crime Unit, a search warrant was executed at a home and storage units in the area of Kanata Lakes.

Organized vehicle theft involving a tow-truck – three men arrested, a fourth suspect wanted

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigation Section has laid several charges against four province of Quebec residents involved in organized auto thefts.
In February 2024, police responded to the area of Isabella and Elgin Streets for a suspicious incident where the caller suspected their vehicle was being stolen. The caller observed their vehicle, which had been parked on the street, being hooked up to a tow-truck.

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has concluded their investigation into a suspicious death on April 12th. Investigators determined that no criminal offence occurred; and as such, no criminal charge will be laid.
The death has been deemed accidental and the victim will not be identified.
