(Ottawa) - The Ottawa Police is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Amy Paul.

On September 17, 2013 the body of 27 year old Amy Paul was discovered in a farm field in south Ottawa, Ontario. She had been missing since the first week of September 2013.

"The Ottawa Police Service is looking for information that can assist investigators in the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrator(s) of this senseless and horrific crime," noted Inspector John Maxwell, head of Major Case Investigations.

Update 2: Suspicious death investigation by Ottawa Police

 

(Ottawa)-The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Section will maintain carriage of the suspicious death investigation on Cabin Road.

 

The body recovered has been identified as Amy Paul, 27 years old, of Ottawa.

 

The post-mortem is scheduled for today.

Update: Suspicious death investigation by Ottawa Police

(Ottawa)The Ottawa Police Service is still investigating a suspicious death after a female body was found on Cabin Road near Nixon Road.

 

The body has now been removed from the scene and a post mortem will be conducted tomorrow. The identity of the deceased female has not been determined.

 

The Ottawa Police's Emergency Services Unit will conduct a grid search of the area on Cabin Road between Nixon and River Roads for evidence in this matter.

Suspicious death investigation by Ottawa Police

 

(Ottawa)–Today, the Ottawa Police Service responded to a call for service at approx. 9:13am regarding the discovery of a female body in the 2900 block of Nixon Drive in a hay field, South East of Ottawa. A member of the public discovered a body.  

 

The Ottawa Police is investigating the suspicious death and the Major Crime Section is overseeing the file.  There has been no positive identification of the female victim and a post-mortem will be scheduled.

 

Further updates will be provided after the post-mortem and next of kin notification.
