Charitable Organization Scam
Help Stop Charity Fraud!
We're Asking Ottawa:
Approximately how many Canadians do you think, are victims of charity fraud?
The Answer: About 20% of Canadians are victims of charity fraud. But by asking the right questions, you can still support causes that are important to you and continue to protect yourself from various kinds of fraud.
The Organized Fraud Section of the Ottawa Police Service would like to remind the public that, in good times and bad, some people seek to profit from the pain and suffering of others as well as the generosity of those who wish to assist.
