Traffic stop in south end leads to seizure of drugs

(Ottawa) – Yesterday, South Neighbourhood Resource Team officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bank Street and Conroy Road just before 1 p.m.
During the stop, grounds were formed to conduct a search of the vehicle for cannabis.
Scales, multiple cell phones, baggies, cocaine, Dilaudid, Xanax, and quantity of currency were seized.

(Ottawa) – The Bolo Program announced that Gibriil BAKAL, 30 years old, of Edmonton, who is wanted for First-degree murder, is eighth on Canada’s most wanted fugitive list issued today.
BAKAL is wanted for the murder of Jama Roble on Champagne Avenue South in Ottawa on January 29, 2024.

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigations Unit is seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on Tuesday, December 3.
Just after 11 p.m., officers were called near the intersection of Mitch Owens Road and Old Prescott Road in response to a single-vehicle collision.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Missing Persons Section is seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing 67-year-old Joseph Rene Leroux.
Joseph was last seen leaving his residence in the Glen Carin neighbourhood on November 24th around 8:00pm.
