2022 Canada Day Public Safety Planning

The Ottawa Police Service is working with Canada Day organizers and our policing partners to implement a public safety plan that allows all Canadians and visitors to freely and safely enjoy the capital during this celebration.

Serious Motorcycle Collision & Traffic Impacts on eastbound Regional Road 174 at Highway 417 Junction

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 10:08 pm 

(Ottawa) — On Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at approximately 8:40 pm, the Ottawa Police Service is investigating a serious motorcycle collision on the eastbound Regional Road 174 at Highway 417 junction. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.  

Road closures are in effect. Traffic on the 417 eastbound on-ramp to the Regional Rd. 174 has been shut down until further notice to allow for investigation of the incident.

Seeking witnesses to a west-end personal robbery

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 6:44 pm 

(Ottawa) – Ottawa Police Service West Division officers responded to calls for service regarding a personal robbery incident that occurred today at approximately 4:10 pm, in the 2900 block of Carling Ave. A male victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. 

The Robbery Unit is currently investigating. Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident. No further details...

Project Whitewater results in four arrests and drug-related charges

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Guns and Gangs Unit concluded a drug trafficking investigation titled “Project Whitewater” this week where three men and a woman were arrested and charged with drug-related offences.
