Update on Police Response to Demonstrations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, April 29, 2022 11:55 p.m.
(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service and its policing partners continue to manage demonstrations in the downtown core of Ottawa, and we are continuously assessing public safety surrounding this weekend's events.
In total today:
- Seven people were arrested for various charges, including assaulting police
- 24 vehicles were towed
There have been no reported injuries, and police remain in full control of city streets.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting from April 25th, where the victim ended up in the area of Ridge Road near Anderson Road at approximately 9:30 pm. The location of where the shooting occurred is unknown at this time.

Police seeking witnesses to a fatal collision on Old Prescott Road

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Collision Unit Investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday, April 24th, 2022.
At approximately 12:24 pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a collision on Old Prescott Road near Chris Tierney Private involving a single motorcycle.
The driver, a 50-year-old woman from Pembroke, was pronounced deceased on scene.
