Project Champion disrupts organized criminal network: 17 people charged

(Ottawa) – An 18-month organized crime and narcotics investigation named Project Champion is coming to an end, resulting in a total of 149 charges laid, 17 people charged, and 14 arrested. Three people are still outstanding and wanted.
The investigation was led by the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Serious & Organized Crime Directorate in coordination with other policing partners.

Person of interest to identify in suspicious incidents

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a collision that occurred early this morning on Bank Street near Johnston Road.
At approximately 12:45 am, officers responded to a hit and run collision involving the driver of a vehicle and cyclist.
The cyclist, a man in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and remains in stable condition.
