A reminder to remain vigilant about the potential for abuse towards women and children

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Sexual Assault and Child Abuse and Partner Assault Sections are asking the community at large to remain vigilant about the potential for abuse towards women and children, considering they may be further isolated, per the Provincial Government’s Stay-at-Home order.
We extend the message to local community shelters, victim services, immigrant women's services, and crisis centres, and encourage police reporting.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a collision that occurred on Prince of Wales Drive at the intersection of Lodge Road, April 10th.
At approximately 4:35pm, Frontline patrol responded to motor vehicle collision involving a green 2020 Nissan Qashqai and a green Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. The motorcycle rider suffered severe but non-life-threatening injuries.

Bank Street shots fired investigation: seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating reported gun shots.
At approximately 10:15pm on April 11th, Frontline Patrol Officers responded to an incident were several callers had reported hearing gun shots in the 900 block of Bank Street. No one was injured.
