(Ottawa) — At the Ottawa Police Services Board meeting yesterday, the Ottawa Police Service provided an update on the 2020-2022 Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Action Plan.

Thomas G. Flanagan, who served with the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) from 1951 to 1993, five of which were as Chief of Police, recognized the need to attract women from racialized or Indigenous communities to choose a career in policing.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Unit is asking for the public’s assistance to identify a man responsible for a sexual assault that occurred in the city’s south end.
Between 9:30pm on December 12th and 1:00am on December 13th, a man approached a woman and sexually assaulted her at the Billings Bridge OC Transpo station. He then left the area on foot.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating two separate shootings that occurred on February 9th, 2021.
