(Ottawa) – Frontline Officers responded to street racing complaints in the 700 block of Ridgewood Drive yesterday evening.
On August 16th at approximately 11:00 pm, officers attended the Mooney’s Bay area. They located two vehicles involved in street racing, charged both drivers and towed the vehicles involved.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is asking for public assistance in order to identify a man involved in a theft that occurred at a Mosque located at 2335 St-Laurent Boulevard.
At approximately 12:20pm on July 28th, the man arrived in a white 4-door Volkswagen Jetta. He then entered the Mosque and proceeded to break into the donation boxes, stealing an undetermined amount of money.

Drowning Prevention: Practice Water Safety This Summer

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service, Ottawa Fire Services, Ottawa Paramedic Service and their Ottawa Drowning Prevention Coalition partners are urging all residents to practice water safety when they are on, in or near water this summer.
Tragically, there have been five drownings on local waterways this summer. The combination of warm weather and people being near unfamiliar waters are considered possible factors in the these drowning cases.
