(Ottawa)—With the spring season fast approaching, the Ottawa Police Marine Dive and Trails (MDT) Unit urges residents to exercise caution when approaching bodies of water.
With spring-like temperatures, ice is quickly melting and becoming more unstable. In the past two weeks, multiple 9-1-1 calls have been received regarding people or animals venturing out onto the ice.

Suspect to identify in Bank St. robbery

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a commercial robbery in the 400 block of Bank Street on February 18th.
At approximately 2:50 pm, the lone suspect attended a commercial business, selected items and attempted to leave the store. When the suspect was confronted by a staff member, he assaulted them and fled the store on foot.

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Break and Enter Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in multiple break and enters between January 29th and February 23rd.
At approximately 9:30 pm on January 29th a lone male suspect broke into a construction site in the 100 block of Montreal Road.
