Suspects to identify in hate-related mischief incident

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Hate & Bias Crime Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying two suspects responsible for a mischief overnight on January 18th in the 2000 block of Huntley Road in Stittsville.

Collision involving Ottawa Police cruiser

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, January 29, 2024 6:16 pm

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a collision that occurred this afternoon at the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Fallowfield Rd.  

At approximately 4:22pm, police responded to a three-vehicle collision. One vehicle was a police cruiser. One officer suffered minor injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to hospital as a precaution only.

The investigation is ongoing; the roads have since re-opened....

Champagne Ave S shooting investigation

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a shooting that occurred today in the 100 block of Champagne Ave S.

At approximately 1:15 pm, police responded to an apartment building in response to a shooting.

On scene, a 33-year-old man was located. He was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.

Suspect to identify in West end stabbing

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, January 26, 2024             3:10 pm

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service West General Investigative Section is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a stabbing incident in the 1400 block of Woodroffe Avenue on January 13. 

At approximately 4:30 pm, the victim and suspect engaged in a verbal altercation in a local store. When the victim exited the store, he was stabbed.

The victim sustained serious injuries.
