(Ottawa) – Two weeks ago, the Ottawa Police Service issued an advisory regarding the ongoing vehicle thefts occurring in our city. Over 1200 vehicles have been stolen this year, and over 40 just last week.
Last week, an Orleans resident reviewed their home security footage and noticed a suspicious person walk up to their vehicle and take pictures of it, some up close including the vehicle’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service East Criminal Investigations Unit has charged a young person following online threats made to a school in the 1600 block of Bearbrook Road.
On December 1st and 3rd, officers responded to verbal and online threats made towards the school. Following a thorough investigation, a 16-year-old was charged with utter threats to cause death and convey false information with intent to alarm.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigation Unit has confirmed that the pedestrian who suffered life-threatening injuries on November 23rd on Montreal Road has succumbed to her injuries earlier this week.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident who have not yet spoken to police.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Hate & Bias Crime Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a person responsible for a mischief to a religious institution in the 300 block of Somerset Steet W. on October 22nd, 2023.
