Fatal Collision on St. Joseph Boulevard: Police Seeking Witnesses

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Unit Investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred last night.
At approximately 9:25 pm, officers were called to the 1900 block of St. Joseph Blvd in response to a collision involving a motor vehicle and pedestrian.
A 61-year-old man is deceased as a result of the collision.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, November 1.
At approximately 9:00 am, a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound attended a local hospital.
Investigators determined that the incident took place in the 2900 block of DuMaurier Avenue between 7:00 and 9:00 am that morning.

(Ottawa) – Between October 16 and October 27th, the Ottawa Police Service Market, Centretown and Carlington Neighbourhood Resource Teams (NRTs) conducted an enforcement project in the ByWard and Lowertown areas targeting social disorder related issues as well as drug related activity.

Charges laid in Mischief Hate Crime on Elgin Street

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Hate and Bias Crime Unit has charged three individuals following a mischief to property incident in the 100 block of Elgin Street.
At approximately 8 pm on October 29, officers attended a parking garage following a 911 call of
three individuals spray painting antisemitic, anti-black, and anti-2SLGBTQQIA+ symbols on the walls.
The three individuals, two of which were young persons, were arrested on-scene.
