Suspects to identify in organized theft of cell phones

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Criminal Investigations Unit is looking to identify four suspects involved in a theft on January 20, 2023, in the 2100 block of Carling Avenue.
At approximately 3 p.m., four men entered a store and stole multiple cell phones before fleeing the scene on foot. The men are described as middle eastern, between 16-22 years of age.

Man charged with hate-motivated assault in Hintonburg

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service has charged a man following an assault in the 1100 block of Wellington Street earlier this month.
On March 11th at approximately 5:30 pm, a man began to yell at a woman walking down the street, using anti-Asian slurs. He then proceeded to assault her.
The woman was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
