19 people charged with Impaired driving over the long weekend

(Ottawa) – Over the long weekend, the Ottawa Police Service charged 19 people with Impaired driving related offences. Of the drivers charged, three were found to be impaired by drugs. Three incidents also involved a collision.
All 19 drivers are now facing criminal charges and have had their driver’s licences suspended and vehicles seized.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Collision Unit Investigators are seeking witnesses to a serious collision that occurred on Friday, July 1st, 2022.
At approximately 10:54 am, Frontline patrol officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Merivale Road and Baseline Road.

Two victims of Homicide identified in ongoing investigation on Anoka Street

(Ottawa)—The Homicide Unit continues to investigate a double homicide on Anoka Street that occurred on June 27th.
Jasmine Ready, 15-years-old and Anne-Marie Ready, 50-years-old were both killed in this stabbing incident. A 19-year-old woman was also seriously injured.
A 21-year-old man was shot by responding police officers and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police seek witnesses in indecent exposure in Stittsville

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service is investigating an indecent exposure incident that occurred at Abbott Street West and Stittsville Main Street on June 22.
At approximately 3:45 pm, two girls (under 16 years old) were standing at the intersection when they were approached by a vehicle. The windows were rolled down, and the male driver called over to the girls, exposing his genitals.
