7 people arrested, 100 tickets issued in Demonstration-Related Enforcement

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service has made multiple arrests in relation to several enforcement actions related to the ongoing demonstration.
On Sunday:
- Two people were arrested on Coventry Rd. for mischief
- Multiple vehicles and fuel have been seized.
- Officers arrested three individuals at Metcalfe and Slater for mischief. The investigation is ongoing and updates will follow.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service and its partners worked through the night to reduce the impacts of demonstrators in the downtown core, respond to calls for service, and improve neighbourhood safety.
Overnight, demonstrators exhibited extremely disruptive and unlawful behaviour, which presented risks to public safety and unacceptable distress for Ottawa residents.

Richmond Road shooting: police seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred on Richmond Road on February 2, 2022.
Shortly after 9 p.m., the Ottawa Police Service was made aware of a man who had presented to hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. The man’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
It’s believed that the incident occurred along the side of Richmond Road, between McEwen and New Orchard.
