First degree murder charge laid in Gilmour Street Homicide

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Homicide Unit arrested a 15-year-old male yesterday in relation to the shooting death of Manyok Akol on January 8th.
The 15-year-old was held for a Show Cause Hearing this morning and formally charged with 1 count of First Degree Murder and 3 counts of Attempted Murder this morning. Per the YCJA, he will not be identified as he is a minor.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police is seeking the public’s assistance to identify two men responsible for a residential break and enter in the 200 block of Bell Street on April 21st.
