(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit has seized four guns in two separate incidents over the weekend.
Three guns were seized, two loaded handguns and one shotgun, following the execution of a search warrant by the Guns and Gangs Unit, in the 2200 block of Riverside drive in the evening of Friday January 10, 2020.

Vehicle to identify in a snowmobile theft

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for this theft and the vehicle that was used.
On Wednesday December 25, 2019 at approximately 10:40pm, two Caucasian males attended a garage located in the 100 block of Macy Boulevard. They proceeded to steal two snowmobiles from this location:
- 2004 Arctic Cat T660 black
- 2004 Polaris 600 Blue

Male suspect to identify following a Robbery on Daly Avenue

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect responsible for a robbery that occurred on December 16, 2019 on Daly Avenue near Stewart Street.
At about 4:20am, a male suspect took a taxi from Bells Corners to Daly Avenue. Once on Daly avenue he produced a knife and demanded money. The taxi driver was not injured.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, in his early 30s, approx. 6’ (183cm)...

On December 5th, 2019 a 71 year old man was shopping at the Loblaws on McArthur Avenue when an employee saw the man clutch his chest and collapse. CPR was started while other employees called 911 and got the defibrillator. They delivered a shock and continued CPR while awaiting first responders.
Two Ottawa Police officers arrived to the emergency call first. They, along with an off-duty fire fighter who was in the store, took over resuscitation efforts and successfully revived the man....
Seeking witnesses in March Rd fatal collision investigation

(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Collisions Investigations Unit is seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday January 5th.
At approximately 4:00am, a single vehicle collision occurred at March Road and Herzberg Road. A 38 year old woman was transported with life threatening injuries. She succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
Investigators are seeking witnesses in regards to this collision.
