(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect in a robbery that occurred on August 27, 2019 at 10:15pm in the 200 block of Murray Street.
Two male suspects met the victim who had agreed to sell a few items, and a dispute ensued.
One suspect began to punch the victim; and the second suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspects took the items and fled the area.

In August, east end investigators were alerted to someone repeatedly planting tin can lids in the sand at a children’s park in Heatherington. It was suspected this was being done with the intent to injure children playing at the park. Thanks to timely reporting, police caught and charged the person responsible before anyone was harmed.

This Saturday marks one year since four tornadoes touched down in the Ottawa area, with devastating effects in several neighbourhoods, including Dunrobin, Arlington Woods and Gatineau. For Ottawa Police Staff Sergeant Paul Wilson, he remembers it like it was yesterday.

Ottawa—The Ottawa Police Services Board wishes to advise the community that Mr. Peter Sloly, the new Chief of the Ottawa Police Service, will officially take on his new role effective October 28, 2019.
He will be sworn-in privately on October 28 so he can begin his duties immediately however a more formal and public swearing-in, called the change of command ceremony, will take place at a later date, that is yet to be determined.

(Ottawa) – On Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 4:41am, Frontline officers responded to a reported shooting in the 3400 block of Woodroffe Avenue. Upon arrival at the residence, officers located a male victim with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
