(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Organized Fraud Unit is warning the public of the resurgence of a previously reported scam.
Victims, who are mostly international students, have received calls from persons pretending to be investigators from the Government of Canada’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Department.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is informing the public of the resurgence of a popular scam where people are being offered false employment opportunities.
The employment opportunities are offered on job sites, internet ads, unsolicited emails, unsolicited texts, or in the newspapers. On other occasions, people who are posting their résumé online are being offered jobs.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Section has obtained a Canada–wide warrant for the arrest of Ali Omar MOHAMED, 20 years old.
MOHAMED has been charged with 2nd degree murder in relation to the homicide of Adam Perron, on January 18,2018 on McLeod Street.

(Ottawa)–The Ministry of Transportation, the Ontario Provincial Police and Ottawa Police Service conducted a one-day proactive commercial motor vehicle blitz in the city’s west end.
