Fatal collision on Roger Stevens Drive, police seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Unit investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred yesterday, Monday July 8th.
At approximately 11:15 pm, officers were called to the area of Roger Stevens Drive west of Second Line Road South in response to a single vehicle collision.
A 30-year-old man succumbed to injuries suffered in the collision.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has seen a slight decrease of 2% in the number of reported hate and bias motivated incidents, from 2023 year to date, compared to finalized 2023 stats.

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a shooting that occurred on July 2nd in the 100 block of Clarence Street.
At approximately 12:50 am police responded to the sound of gunshots heard in the area.
On scene police located two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the hospital. They remain in hospital; one victim is in life-threatening condition while the other is in serious but stable condition.
