Homicide Investigation on Russell Road

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old man that occurred at approximately10:00 pm on Friday June 28th in the 1700 block of Russell Road.
The victim has been identified as Yousef Salaman of Ottawa.
Currently, no suspects are in custody and the investigation is continuing.
Investigators are seeking surveillance video from residents and persons who may have been in the area at the time...

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a commercial robbery in the 500 block of Hazeldean Road on June 21st.
At approximately 8:30 pm, the lone suspect entered the store where he engaged in conversation with staff. He then made his way behind the counter, removed products and assaulted staff. The suspect then fled the store on foot. There were no injuries.

(Ottawa) -- June 26th marks the seventh anniversary of Ashton Dickson’s homicide.
Ashton Dickson was killed outside of a nightclub located at 470 Rideau Street on June 26th, 2017. Police believe that an altercation began in the club in the bathroom line and continued into the street, where Ashton was shot in front of a dozen people.
