York Street Shooting Investigation

(Ottawa) –  The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, October 18.

At approximately 12:51 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 100 block of York Street. 

One victim was located with gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Suspect to identify in Jasmine Crescent Break and Enter

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Break and Enter Unit is looking for public assistance in identifying a suspect in break and enter in the 2000 block of Jasmine Crescent.

Overnight on September 22, the suspect entered an underground parking garage and entered a vehicle, stealing the owner’s belongings which included a credit card. The credit card was then used to make purchases at a business nearby.

Fatal Collision on West Hunt Club Road: Seeking Witnesses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, October 18, 2023   9:55 am

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Unit is investigating a collision that occurred on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., first responders were called to a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on West Hunt Club Road near Cleopatra Drive.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 31-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured.

Homicide Investigation on Raven Avenue: Charge Laid

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, October 13th, 2023       11:55 am

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has charged a man in the shooting death of Michael Quattrocchi on Raven Avenue in June of this year.

Ahmad HAJ-SALEH, 29-years-old, of Ottawa, has been charged with First Degree Murder.

He is scheduled to appear in court today.

Suspect to identify in Robertson Rd personal robbery

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, October 12, 2023  10:00 am

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit is looking to identify a suspect involved in a personal robbery on June 21 in the 1800 block of Robertson Road.

At approximately 2:30 pm, a lone suspect met with the victim to purchase a cell phone. The suspect pulled out what was described as a taser by the victim. The suspect stole the phone and fled the area in a vehicle nearby.
