Suspects to identify in West End Theft

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Unit is seeking the public’s assistance to identify two males involved in a theft in the 100 block of Bayshore Drive on December 29th, 2022.

Robbery Unit looking to identify suspect in Centretown bank robbery

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, January 11, 2023   11:15 am

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking to identify a suspect involved in a bank robbery on January 5th in the 1100 block of Bank Street.

At approximately 1:30 pm, a lone suspect entered a bank and approached the bank teller. The suspect proceeded to bang the counter, told staff not to move, and demanded money.

Hate crime charges laid in school incident

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Hate & Bias Crime Unit has charged two students following an investigation into a school incident in the 100 block of Greenbank Road.

On December 1st, 2022, a student created and displayed a hate symbol in the school and another student used antisemitic language and gestures. The hate symbol was viewed by other students.

Festive RIDE results in 83 Impaired driving related charges

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, January 9,  2023   9:30 am

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service held their annual 2022 Festive RIDE Campaign between December 1st 2022 and January 5th, 2023 and laid a total of 83 criminal charges for impaired driving-related offences.

Among those charges, 56 were for having a blood alcohol content of 80 or more milligrams, 10 for impaired by drugs, and 17 for failing to comply with a demand.

Shooting Investigation: 1000 block of Medford St.
