Police see a 25% increase in impaired related charges in March

(Ottawa) — Since January 2022, the Ottawa Police Service is seeing impaired driving charges returning to pre-pandemic numbers.
A total of 146 impairment-related charges have been laid between January 1st, to March 30th, 2022. In March alone, there were 54 charges laid, as opposed to 43 in March 2021.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects responsible for a stabbing on March 19th, 2022 in the 100 block of George Street.
At about 2:40 am, an altercation occurred between two groups on George Street. During the incident, two men were stabbed and sustained minor injuries. All parties had fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victims later called police to report the incident...

Armed Robbery suspects to be identified

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking for the public’s assistance to identify two suspects in relation to a robbery in the 1700 block of Bank Street on December 30, 2021.
Just after 7 pm, two suspects, one armed with a shotgun, entered a financial institution and demanded money. When no cash was turned over, they fled by vehicle in an unknown direction. There were no reported injuries.
