Community-Police Award Recipients Igor, Mark and Marjorie

We recently held our annual Community-Police Awards ceremony and want to introduce you to the recipients this week.
In May 2019, Igor Tomanic and Mark Preuss were playing soccer when the goaltender collapsed. Feeling no pulse, Igor and Mark started CPR. An employee on duty at the time, Marjorie McCoriston, grabbed a defibrillator that was kept on site and they worked together to apply the defibrillator and deliver a shock. The man became responsive after the shock.

(Ottawa) – Major Crime is confirming the identity of the deceased male as Ashor Anwia, 24 years old of Ottawa.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking for public assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in a robbery in the central area of Ottawa.
On Friday, October 25, 2019 at approximately 1:09pm, a lone male suspect entered a financial institution in the 200 block of Rideau Street and made a demand for money. He left the area with an undisclosed amount of money.
