Suspect to identify following an assault on the O-Train
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, September 24, 2024 10:10 am
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect responsible for an assault on August 27th on the O-Train between the St. Laurent and Lees Station stops.
At approximately 3:00 pm, the victim was walking toward a seat on the train, when the subject pushed past them. The suspect then struck the victim and an altercation ensued. The suspect exited the train at Lees Station and fled the area on foot.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
The suspect is described as Indigenous, in their 20’s, short black hair and a large tattoo on their right forearm. At the time of the incident, they were seen wearing a black sleeveless Ecko Unlimited hoodie with white writing, turquoise shorts, black high-top running shoes and a turquoise ball cap.
