Marine, Dive and Trail officers will be on trails and designated areas checking for safety and compliance this fall

(Ottawa) – Throughout the fall, officers from the Marine, Dive and Trail (MDT) Unit will be watching for All-Terrain-Vehicle (ATV) riders on trails and roadways and hunters in designated areas within the city to ensure both safety and compliance.

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police would like to remind residents that thefts of Lexus and Toyota luxury SUVs and light trucks continue in Ottawa. Over 240 thefts have been reported so far this year.
The trend is no longer limited to Lexus/Toyota products. It is expanding to include the thefts of all makes and models of vehicles that are equipped with a proximity key (i.e. push-button start).

(Ottawa) – Collision Unit Investigators are seeking witnesses to a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle overnight in the city’s west end.
At about 12:15 am on October 6th, police were called to Goulbourn Forced Road, at approximately 550 metres south of Innovation Drive, regarding a motorcycle that went off the road and into a ditch.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Queen Mary Street on October 2nd, 2021.
At approximately 11:30 pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a call for shots fired. On scene, they located property damage to one residence as well as shell casings on the ground. No one was injured.
