Fraud Prevention Month serves as a reminder to protect yourself from scams

(Ottawa) – Each year, Canadians lose millions of dollars to fraud. Educating yourself on common scams is the easiest way to prevent becoming a victim of one.
“It’s hard to keep up with all the different kinds of scams,” says Sergeant Chantal Arsenault from the Ottawa Police Service Fraud Unit. “But there are steps you can take to protect yourself, regardless of which scenario would-be fraudsters are using.”

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Collision Unit Investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on February 26th, 2022.
At approximately 11:05pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a collision at the intersection of Hunt Club Road and Malak Street involving a 2020 grey Subaru WRX and a 2016 black Land Rover Range Rover.

(Ottawa) – The Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating after shots were fired at a residence on Montreal Road and on Grafton Crescent on February 23rd.
At about 10:35pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a call about shots fired in the 2000 block of Montreal Road. Shell casings were found. There were no reports of injuries or damage to property. While there, officers believed they heard gun shots elsewhere.
