Suspect to identify following a sexual assault in Montreal Road and Lacasse Avenue area

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service responded to a call for service about a sexual assault that occurred in the Montreal Road and Lacasse Avenue area on August 30th.
At approximately 7:00p.m., an unknown man entered a ground unit and sexually assaulted an adult man with mobility issues. The suspect fled the area. The victim sustained minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a Black man, 25-35 years old, 6’ (183cm), slim and muscular....

(Ottawa) – Frontline Officers responded to an assault in the area of Dalhousie Street and Clarence Street on Friday, August 21st.
At approximately 2:11am, a group of men began to fight. One man was stabbed; and he suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. Another man received minor injuries as a result of the altercation. Three suspects fled the area.

(Ottawa) – On February 26, 2020, the RCMP V-Division asked the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) to conduct an investigation into the fatal RCMP shooting of Mr. Attachie Ashoona, a Kinngait, Nunavut resident.
The OPS has a Memorandum of Understanding with the RCMP V-Division and the Government of Nunavut to conduct independent external investigations in instances of major police incidents involving members of the RCMP.

(Ottawa)- The Guns and Gangs Unit continues to investigate two shootings that occurred this weekend.
Frontline Officers responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Heron Road (Vincent Massey Park) on Saturday August 22nd.
At approximately 9:00pm, three people were sitting in a parked vehicle when a bullet went through their vehicle. Debris from the shooting caused minor injuries to one person.

(Ottawa) – Frontline Officers responded to a possible home Invasion in the 1300 block of Talcy Crescent, on August 18th.
At approximately 3:00 pm, two men broke into a residence and tied up the resident who was in the home. One man stayed with the resident and the other searched the house for valuables. Both men left the home with money and valuables. The resident was not injured.
