(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Unit is advising of two indecent act incidents in Barrhaven this past month.
On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at approximately 5 pm, an eleven-year-old girl was walking on a pathway in the 100 block of Sherway Drive when she observed a naked teenage white male in the nearby bushes.
The young girl did not believe she was seen by the male and returned home without incident.

OPS members pitch in for massive one-day food drive

On May 13, Khalsa Aid Canada and the Ottawa Sikh Society gathered up 300 volunteers to collect what turned out to be one of the city’s largest one-day food drives.
Preparation for the event started in early March, with members of these two groups issuing a challenge to Ottawa Sikh Society Punjabi School children to see if they could gather the most donated food items. The goal was to gather enough food to prepare 10,000 meals.

Suspects to identify in Laurier Avenue East Robbery

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a commercial robbery on April 14th in the 200 block of Laurier Ave East.
At approximately 2:30 am, a male and female suspect entered the store. The female suspect told the store clerk that she had a weapon and demanded money.
The two suspects fled the area on foot, with an undisclosed amount of money.
The clerk was not injured.
