Residents Matter Enforcement Initiative Results: July 26

(Ottawa) – On the evening of Friday July 26th, members of the Traffic Escort & Enforcement and Frontline patrol officers along with OPP were in the Barrhaven and Kanata areas as part of the Residents Matter (#ResidentsMatter) late-night traffic enforcement initiative.
Two drivers were charged with stunt driving:
• 133 km/h in a 70 km/h zone – Strandherd Drive / Dealership Drive
• 120 km/h in a 70 km/h zone – Strandherd Drive / Aura Avenue

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service has charged a 65-year-old woman from Hamilton with four counts of assault following a confrontation on Saturday, July 20, where hot tea was thrown on demonstrators resulting in minor injuries.

(Ottawa) — Members of the Ottawa Police Service Traffic Escort & Enforcement Unit and frontline patrol officers were out last weekend as part of the Residents Matter (#ResidentsMatter) late-night traffic enforcement initiative.
