(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Fraud Unit, and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are warning residents of the greater Ottawa area about fraudulent calls where someone posing as an investigator offers to inspect your Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment to save you money.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigation Unit is seeking witnesses to a collision on Saturday, February 17th.
At approximately 11:30 pm, officers were called to Fallowfield Road and Steeple Hill Crescent in response to a collision involving two vehicles.
Three people were transported to the hospital; one with minor injuries and two with life threatening injuries.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is seeking public tips and information about a vehicle of interest in a shooting that occurred on February 11th.
At approximately 7:15 pm, police were called to the area of Woodroffe Avenue and Field Street for reports of shots fired. Multiple shell casings were located at the scene. No victim or injuries have been reported.

One man charged in the Champagne Avenue South homicide and one man wanted

(Ottawa) – On Friday evening, the Ottawa Police Service arrested Sharmaake Abdi ABDI HIRE, 28 years old, of Ottawa. He was charged with Accessory after the fact to murder, Section 240 of the CCC, in the homicide on Champagne Avenue South.
ABDI HIRE appeared in court on Saturday, February 10th and was remanded into custody.
