June is Seniors’ Month in Ontario, a chance to recognize the people who fought for our freedom, raised us and contributed to our community.
This year's theme is Stay safe, stay in touch.

The Ottawa Police Service hosted 59th annual the International Police Hockey tournament on February 27 and 28, with 109 teams are registered in eight divisions.
“The players are all police members and there are some who have played high calibre hockey, which is quite exciting,” said organizer and OPS Constable, Vianney Calixte. “Our divisions include women’s teams, an over-45 division as well as a gentleman’s league, which is for casual players to have some fun.”

Update: Death Investigation on Mayview Ave

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service continues to investigate the death of a 24-year-old man found deceased in a Mayview Ave. home.
The death was initially investigated as a homicide but police now believe the incident is attributed to death by misadventure. The investigation indicates that the manner of death was likely accidentally self-inflicted.
No suspect is being sought.
The investigation remains open and active.

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police is seeking the public’s assistance to identify three men responsible for an Assault in the 500 block of Beavertail Road on June 8th.
At approximately 1:30pm, three men were observed trespassing on a property by the owner. The male victim approached the men and asked them to leave.
