Woman charged after confrontation with demonstrators

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service has charged a 65-year-old woman from Hamilton with four counts of assault following a confrontation on Saturday, July 20, where hot tea was thrown on demonstrators resulting in minor injuries.

(Ottawa) – OC Transpo’s Special Constable Unit charged two men in relation to hate-motivated incidents that occurred on July 1, 2024.
At approximately 7:30 pm, two suspects made racial slurs and threats towards a family while on the transit system. (Ottawa) — Members of the Ottawa Police Service Traffic Escort & Enforcement Unit and frontline patrol officers were out last weekend as part of the Residents Matter (#ResidentsMatter) late-night traffic enforcement initiative.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday, July 18, 2024, just before 8:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Clarence Street.
There are no known victims or injuries reported to police, and people had fled the area prior to police arrival.
