Woman charged in relation to multiple Arsons

(Ottawa) — On Thursday October 17th, 2024 the Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit charged Cassandra Mary JODOIN, 41-years-old, of Ottawa in relation to numerous fires that occurred in the ByWard Market, Lower Town and Sandy Hill over the last month (see map).
The charges are as follows:
- Arson Disregard for Human Life x3
- Arson Damage to Property x10
- Possess Incendiary Materials x10
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00 x2

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in an assault that occurred at the Rideau Centre’s Entrance #2 on Thursday, October 3, just after 7 p.m.
After a verbal altercation, a physical altercation took place, and the suspect assaulted a man in his 60s.

(Ottawa)—Emergency crews responded to reports of a person suffering from serious burns in the 100 block of Queen Street just after 6 a.m. on Monday, October 14.
The man was transported to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
