(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has charged a woman in the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred on February 19th at approximately 4:45am in the 200 block of Presland Road in Overbrook.
The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Robert Vides, of Ottawa.
Judith BRENNAN, 45-years-old, of Ottawa, has been charged with Second degree murder. She is scheduled to appear in court today.

Tow truck non-compliance results in 168 charges laid

(Ottawa) – Since January 1, 2025, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has been conducting tow truck compliance checks to ensure adherence to the Towing and Storage Safety Enforcement Act (TSSEA), Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA) and the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
Police checked tow truck operators, drivers, and vehicle storage facilities for compliance, resulting 168 charges against multiple companies and drivers.
