Speak! Be Heard! Make a difference!
The YAC forms part of a broader youth engagement strategy and encourages police-youth relationships by providing a youth voice to the Ottawa Police and facilitating greater input and involvement by youth in Ottawa.
Youth-led with police support and resources, the committee's main purpose is to help the Ottawa Police gain a broader understanding of youth by collaborating on events, programs and other initiatives.
If you are part of a youth group that wants your voice heard, YAC can come out and meet with you. We want to know what a safer Ottawa looks like to you and hear about your experiences with the police and ideas you may have to share with us.
