70 year old female located deceased

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service would like to advise the public that missing Joy Ficko was located deceased, no foul play is suspected.

No other information is being release. Please remove her photo from your social feeds.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Missing Persons Unit is asking for public assistance to locate missing Joy Ficko, 70 years old, of Ottawa.  Her family is concerned for her wellbeing and safety. 

Joy was last seen in the 5500 block of South River Drive last night at around midnight.

Joy is described as a Caucasian female, 5’8”-5’9” (173-175 cm), 130pds (59kg), short light brown/grey hair (See photo).    She was wearing a white t-shirt with grey cotton pajama pants when she was last seen.  Joy is believed to be on foot.

Anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Joy is asked to call the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222.

If you have information that could assist investigators, but do not know where she is currently, please contact the Ottawa Police Missing Persons Unit 613-236-1222, ext. 2355 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday to Friday.
