Arson Unit seeking witnesses for an arson on Nelson Street

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday September 11, 2024          2:30 pm

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit is investigating an arson that occurred in a residential building in the 1-100 block of Nelson Street early this morning.

At approximately 3:30 am, officers attended a residential fire in the 1-100 block of Nelson St. This was a tiered response with Ottawa Fire Services and the Ottawa Paramedic Service.

One person suffered minor injuries.  

Police are looking for anyone with doorbell cam or video surveillance footage of suspicious activity in the Nelson Street area between 2:30 am and 4:00 am on September 11^th.
