Armed robbery suspect to identify
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, December 03, 2019 12:00pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking for assistance from the public in identifying a male suspect involved in an armed robbery in the West End of Ottawa Tuesday, October 29th.
Shortly before 5:00 a.m. a male suspect, armed with a handgun, entered a business in the 1500 block of Woodroffe Avenue. The suspect approached an employee, brandished the firearm and demanded cigarettes. The suspect was given a large quantity of cigarettes, which were placed inside a red gym bag. The suspect fled the area on foot.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5’11 (180cm), 200 – 210 lbs (91-95kg). At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey hooded sweater with the DC shoes logo on the centre front of the sweater, black pants, black mask, black gloves, and black boots. He was carrying a red (Fitness Good Life) gym bag (see photos).
