Armed Robbery suspects to identify
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, November 13, 2019 1:40pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking for assistance from the public in identifying two male suspects involved in a robbery in the East End of Ottawa.
On November 12, 2019, shortly after 10:00am, two heavily disguised male suspects, each armed with a handgun, entered a bank along the 2000 block of City Park Drive and went behind the counter to where the tellers were working. The suspects placed an undisclosed amount of cash into a grey, possibly camouflage-patterned backpack.
The first suspect is described as a black male, well over 6’ (183cm), thin build, wearing a green sweater, a plaid Yukon-style winter hat and black pants (view photos.)
The second suspect is described as a male with darker skin, 6’ (183cm), thin build, wearing a dark grey or black Canada Goose parka, orange gloves and light grey pants (view photos.)
Each suspect had their faces covered. They fled the area in what is believed to be a black Toyota C-HR crossover vehicle. Approximately two hours later, police believe that the same two males robbed another bank in the City of Kingston.
