Update: Arson on Rossland Avenue, Homicide investigation

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is investigating the death of a woman in the fire on October 8^th on Rossland Avenue as a homicide.

Yesterday, Ottokie Kelly, 51-years-old, succumbed to her injuries in hospital.

Police are looking for anyone with information, doorbell camera or video surveillance footage of suspicious activity in the area between 3:00 am and 4:00 am on October 8^th, that have not already spoken to police to contact the Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 extension: 5493.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is investigating an arson that occurred at a residential building in the 1-100 block of Rossland Avenue on October 8^th. 

At approximately 3:45 am, officers attended the area as part of a tiered response with Ottawa Fire Services and the Ottawa Paramedic Service for a residential fire. Two people suffered serious injuries in the fire.  

Police are looking for anyone with doorbell camera or video surveillance footage of suspicious activity in the area between 3:00 am and 4:00 am on October 8^th.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Ottawa Police Arson Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 4587 or by email at arson@ottawapolice.ca.
