Arson Unit seeking assistance into fire investigation in Centretown
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, September 15, 2021 11:15 am
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit is seeking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest pertaining to an Arson investigation.
At approximately 2:06 am on August 26, 2021 Frontline Officers responded to a working fire in the 300 block of Somerset Street West. The fire was extinguished and there was extensive property damage. No one was injured.
The woman is described as a Black woman, stocky build, blond hair tied back (possibly a wig), wearing eyeglasses, white cardigan sweater over pink patterned shirt/short (jumper), black sandals, carrying a black purse and a red gasoline can (see photo).
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Arson unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 3771.
