Arson Unit seeking witnesses for suspected arson on Lavergne Street

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, July 28, 2023   11:20 am

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit is investigating a suspicious fire that occurred in a back shed of an apartment building in the 100 block of Lavergne Street on July 27^th.

The shed fire was reported at approximately 1:40 am, and it spread to 3 nearby vehicles. There were no reported injuries.

Police are looking for anyone with doorbell cam or video surveillance footage of suspicious activity in the Lavergne Street area between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Thursday, July 27.
