(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations has confirmed the identity of three subjects involved in the incident at the Senegal Embassy located on Kent Street on August 1,2023.
Subject #5 was identified as Awa CAMARA, 43 years old of Saint Eustache, Quebec.
Subject #9 Fatou MBACKE, 49 years old of Ottawa.
Subject #12, Lamine DIEDHIOU, 53 years old of Ottawa.
They were all charged with forcible confinement, assault, mischief over $5000, mischief obstruct property and cause disturbance.
The Central Criminal Investigations Section is seeking public assistance to identify 10 remaining subjects. The police investigation continues.
Police also wish to speak with anyone that was involved or witnessed the incidents by calling 613-236-1222, ext. 5166.

Update: Assault and Mischief incidents at Senegal Embassy, police seeking public tips to identify 13 subjects
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations has confirmed the identity of two (2) subjects and concluded that they had no role in the protest and incidents of Assault and Mischief at the Embassy of Senegal on Kent Street on August 1st 2023. Their photos have been removed from our online postings accordingly.
The Central Criminal Investigations Section is seeking public tips to identify 13 remaining subjects. The police investigation continues.
Police also wish to speak with anyone that was involved or witnessed the incidents by calling 613-236-1222, ext. 5166.

Assault and Mischief incidents at Senegal Embassy, police seeking public tips to identify 15 subjects
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations is seeking public assistance to identify 15 persons who were involved in a protest at the Embassy of Senegal on Kent Street on August 1st 2023.
That day, shortly before noon, a group of demonstrators forced their way into the Embassy of Senegal in Ottawa and committed a number of offences including Assault, Mischief over $5000, Forcible entry, and Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
The Central Criminal Investigations Section is seeking public tips to identify the 15 subjects and releasing their photos. Police also wish to speak with anyone that was involved or witnessed the incidents by calling 613-236-1222, ext. 5166.
