Charges laid in a series of hate-related mischiefs across the City

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Hate and Bias Crime Unit has charged an individual following a series of mischief to property incidents across the city of Ottawa in March of this year.
Between March 16th and March 24th, the individual spray painted a series of antisemitic symbols and other hateful messages in multiple locations throughout the city.
A 20-year-old Ottawa woman has been identified and charged with 4 counts of Mischief to property. She is expected to appear in court today.
We continue to encourage anyone who witnesses or experiences such incidents to report them to police. Reporting hate-motivated incidents is an important step in stopping cycles of hatred.
