Charges Laid in Wellington Street Assault

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Unit have charged a man following an assault this morning on Wellington Street near Kent Street.

At approximately 9:10 am, officers responded to the area and located multiple victims with non-life-threatening injuries from a blunt metal weapon.

A 31-year-old man of Ottawa has been charged with several violent offences including Robbery and Assault with a weapon.

He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
