Crime gun and drugs seized following traffic stop in the East end
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, November 9th, 2021 11:45am
(Ottawa) – On November 5th, 2021, the Ottawa Police South Neighbourhood Resource Team (NRT) seized a crime gun(see pictures) and drugs following a traffic stop conducted in the area of the Fox Hunt Avenue and Huntmaster Lane.
In the early evening, NRT officers initiated a traffic stop on Fox Hunt Avenue. The vehicle and its occupants were searched during the investigation.
A loaded crime gun, over 47 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, 23 Hydromorphone pills and Canadian currency were seized during the search.
Benjamin BUDA, 31 years old of no fixed address, was charged with a series of gun-related Criminal Code offences. Jeffrey GERRIOR, 29 years old of Ottawa, was charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
BUDA and GERRIOR were scheduled to appear in court Saturday, November 6th.
